Why did you choose to attend Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design?

It was the only college I found that offered a specific arts education degree program. I was very impressed with the quality, thought, and creativity of the work being produced.

What did your favorite professor do to earn your respect or admiration?

Martha Russo—I have never had a teacher that has pushed me so far and given me so many opportunities to excel. She is more than willing to help and will make time for students.

How has RMCAD prepared you for what you want to do when you graduate?

I want to teach art! Hopefully in Jeffco schools but as long as I am teaching, I will be happy no matter where it is. [RMCAD] has only increased my love and passions of both art and helping/teaching. It has motivated me to be a good teacher and be able to work in limited surroundings.

How would you describe the students who attend RMCAD?

Smart, creative, goal-oriented. What I love about RMCAD is that students know why they are here, what they are doing, and where they are going in the future—not just "trying to figure out what I want to do." Students are strong-minded, active, and passionate.

What do you like about living in Denver/Colorado?

I grew up here, I LOVE it here, and I couldn't picture myself anywhere else. I love the mountains and outdoors. I also love the diversity and culture it offers.

How has your life changed since enrolling at RMCAD?

It's gotten very busy and hectic but much more meaningful.

What would you want a prospective student to know about RMCAD?

It is a community. Treat it like one, be a part of it.
