Sarah Scott

Adjunct Instructor

BFA - Academy of Art University
MFA - Cranbrook Academy of Art
Sarah Scott grew up in the mountains of Colorado where she developed a naturalist’s sensibility and a deep love and respect for nature. Motivated by a desire to create an environmentally sustainable practice, she began working with handmade paper. This exploration of sustainable craft is often the starting point of work that reflects her sharp observations of nature, science, compassion and history.
In addition to more than 10 years of teaching K-12 and college art students, Scott has worked as the Director of Educational Programming at the Center for the Arts in Evergreen, CO. She has been an artist in residence at RedLine, Denver and the Frans Masereel Centrum in Belgium. Her work has been exhibited internationally and locally at The Urban Institute of Contemporary Art, RedLine, Ice Cube, Abecedarian, the Edinburgh College of Art and the Emmanuel Gallery. Her work is also on permanent display at the Women’s College at the University of Denver. She is a founding member and present manager of Tank Studios, LLC. Visit her website
