Tuition Rates
Tuition rates for the 2011 – 2012 academic year, starting in Fall 2011, are as follows:
Complete program pricing is an estimate only, based on completion of all required credits on first attempt and the tuition lock program (student must be continuously enrolled as a full-time student in order to qualify).
Pricing does not include Gear Box. Tuition includes all lab and facility fees. You can enroll in classes after all financial aid paperwork is complete.
Avoid Tuition Increases: BFA Price Guarantee
We offer a price guarantee that locks your tuition rate as long as you maintain continuous full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per term).
If you take advantage of this program, you'll not only spend less on tuition but you'll earn your BFA in 3 years or less and enter the workforce earlier.
The guaranteed rate will expire and you will have to pay current rates each term if/when:
- you enroll for fewer than 12 credits in any given term, including summer terms
- you take a term off
- you graduate
All new students are encouraged to take advantage of this program.
Application Fee
There is a one-time application processing fee of $50 paid when you submit your application.
Books, Supplies and Gear Box
- $600 - $800 is the typical cost per term for a full-time student for books and supplies
- $350-$3,100* is the typical cost per term for a full-time student for a Gear Box
*Pricing varies each term. Generally, the first term is the highest cost.
Each student is required to furnish his/her own books and supplies for completion of each course. In addition, incoming students are required to have a laptop computer and certain hardware and software, depending on major. See the Technology Page for more information.
Health Insurance
Students not otherwise insured are required to enroll in RMCAD’s student health insurance plan when they enroll in 9 credits or more. The charge for Health Insurance is $962 per term for a full-time student for the 2011-2012 academic year. There is no additional health insurance charge in the summer term if you are enrolled during the spring term – whether you attend summer or not.
Payments
Tuition and fees are due in full before the first day of class for each term, unless the account has an approved payment plan or financial aid is in process. It is the student’s responsibility to pay tuition and fees regardless of attendance.
Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card (Visa, MC, AMEX, Discover). These payments may either be made on campus at our Resource Center Desk (1st floor of the Texas Building), mailed to RMCAD, or made via telephone authorization.
Payment Plans
The RMCAD Payment plan is designed to finance all tuition, or the portion of tuition not covered by financial assistance such as grants, loans and scholarships, interest-free. Late payments may be subject to late fees and interest charges. Contact Student Accounts at 303.567.7285 for more information.
After you have registered for a course, RMCAD has reserved space in that course for you, regardless of attendance. RMCAD reserves the right to withhold grades, academic transcripts, diplomas and letters of recommendation until all charges have been paid and your student account is cleared. Failure to pay tuition and fees may result in cancellation of registration. Payment plans are available each term you are registered. There is a $25 set up fee each term.
The Office of Student Accounts works with students and families to manage charges for each student, including tuition, fees, health insurance and fines. Bills are mailed at least 30 days prior to the beginning of each semester. Tuition charges are due and payable prior to beginning of each term.
