Counseling + Disability Services

Counseling

Making the transition to college life can be difficult. Whether you come to RMCAD straight out of high school or you've already got some college and life experience under your belt, you may face challenges at times.

That's why RMCAD provides counseling services from a licensed professional for all students. Counseling is confidential and free of charge. A wide range of topics are addressed, from anxiety and depression to substance abuse and grief. A variety of approaches are utilized so that the needs of each student can be addressed.

Student Disability Services

Students that have been admitted to RMCAD may request reasonable academic accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. To request accommodations students should self-identify to the Student Disability Services Coordinator, John Meister, by phone 303-335-9937 or email at jmeister@rmcad.edu.

Accommodations are individually determined based upon request of the student, supporting documentation showing evidence of current impact, and reasonable accommodations in the post-secondary environment.
