2013 Assessment in the Arts Conference: A Spectrum of Possibilities

Thursday, Jul 18th to Saturday, Jul 20th

The Assessment in the Arts Conference (AAC) is for faculty and administrators from both higher education and K-12 institutions who are interested in learning from colleagues, gaining perspective, developing their own program and working knowledge of assessment, to have an opportunity to present, and network with other creative discipline professionals.

The theme for the 2013 conference is “A Spectrum of Possibilities,” inspiring forward thinking and development of the assessment of student learning, programs/degrees, institutions, and other aspects of assessment of art or design in academia. The keynote address will be given by Meredith Davis, PhD, from North Carolina State University.

This conference is unique because it offers a platform for promoting effective art assessment approaches and practices, going deeper into specialty assessment focuses, and exploring new ideas and theories. Another appealing quality of the AAC’13 is its interactive and collaborative nature.
