RMCAD is thrilled to host the Mo’Print Steamroller Printing Event on campus, Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. At this event, a steamroller will drive over custom-created woodcut printing blocks and fabric to create unique large-scale works. At least two prints of each block will be made. One will be sold at a silent auction with proceeds to benefit the Invisible Museum.
The Steamroller Print Event is a great opportunity for students, artists and the community to join together in a cooperative setting to celebrate the art of printmaking. In addition to hands-on printmaking activities, the event will feature music, food trucks and much more. The Mo’Print Steamroller Printing Event is free and open to the public.
To help participants prepare for the event, RMCAD and AIGA will be sponsoring a ‘Carve your own Colossal’ workshop with master printmaker Mark Lunning. Attendees will learn how to carve and prepare a printing block using traditional tools. The workshop will be held Sunday, March 23, 2-4 p.m. and will be free to RMCAD students and AIGA members.
