Greetings RMCAD community,

As most of you may know, Parsian Street Artist, Zevs, was on campus last week. Zevs was an early and influential graffiti artist and is among the prominent figures who pioneered the French street art scene. I am proud to announce that we had record attendance for his gallery talk and round table discussion.

Not only this, but Zevs, also left us with an original artwork. He left us with a piece that covers three floors of the Texas building. His piece starts on the fourth floor elevator doors and drips all the way down to the first floor. This original piece intertwines two of Zevs’ bodies of work, his tag (the thundercloud) and a cascade of his signature drips. Zevs explained to me that this piece encompasses many aspects of a storm (the cloud, the storm, the rain, and the rainbow). He also spoke glowingly about his short time at RMCAD and likened it to a beautiful storm.

I hope that everyone will stop by the Texas elevators and enjoy our new acquisition.
