What is your favorite thing about teaching at RMCAD?

I like to work at RMCAD a lot. I like the energy and passion for art. I like to see my freshmen growing up and becoming independent artists.

Recognized for realism and stylized representation of advertising product rendering and highly realist automotive paintings. Usage of traditional media includes acrylic and pen and ink medias.

Expert in architectural rendering and sketching, hand drawing, SketchUp, PhotoShop.

What is your favorite thing about teaching at RMCAD?

The synergy created by an all-art school combined with dedicated teachers and energetic students. It is a great place to work, teach and learn.

The campus, students and faculty.

What is your favorite class or project to teach and why?

I love to teach drawing and life drawing. I feel at home in both of these classes.

Knowing what you know now, what’s the one piece of advice you would give to your college-aged self?

Go to class more.

Stop-motion animation, Maya 3D computer animation, Flash animation, business and professional practices, mentoring, daydreaming.

I'm among my tribe.

What is your favorite class or project to teach?

Any project where I get the students to create something out of nothing.

Knowing what you know now, what’s the one piece of advice you would give to your college-aged self?

Don't start your homework the night before it's due!

As an art historian and writer, I specialize in the intersections between Modern European and Latin American art. Currently my scholarship focuses on artist Josef Albers's work in Mexico.

Talented faculty, student enthusiasm, and small class size.

Typography, identity design, branding, creative problem solving, design pedagogy, critical writing, design research, and the inspiration of students.

Denver Office of Cultural Affairs - selection committee member for public art selections.

Sewing and all hand-stitching methods, relational aesthetics, performance, installation.

What is your favorite thing about teaching at RMCAD?

The small class sizes engender a strong community and ability to engage in each student's artmaking process.

Science fiction, editorial illustration, figure painting, drawing and landscape painting, digital illustrator specializing in painter and PhotoShop, murals and dioramas.

What is your favorite thing about teaching at RMCAD?

Illustration is a community of art soul mates, and as such, the energy is high, the creativity a wonder, and the relationships deep.
