I'm among my tribe.

What is your favorite class or project to teach?

Any project where I get the students to create something out of nothing.

Knowing what you know now, what’s the one piece of advice you would give to your college-aged self?

Don't start your homework the night before it's due!

What prominent artist, scholar or designer in your field do you admire the most, and why?

Chas Adams, cartoonist and creator of the Adams Family. I like his sense of humor and I like to draw like he does.

What are your greatest influences?

The Beatles and Monty Python.
