Joseph Coniff graduated from RMCAD in 2011 with a BFA in Fine Arts, emphasis in Sculpture. His subtle and often deadpan work explores behavior relationships, requiring the viewer to participate, perform and aid in its creation. These subjective experiences essentially complete his work. Coniff’s exhibition Likeness, is an installation of a found portrait repeated thirteen times in different scales. Investigating the impact of replicated imagery in daily life, Coniff explores the effect of repetition on personal identity.
