Art for me is the same as being human; the two cannot be separated. It is in our nature to create and also to destroy, we are very much Shiva-beings. Being able to move forward in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in, having fluidity to situation, that is human, that is art. I love art for many reasons and it changes as we change. It seems so very simple, yet art becomes part of the highest of complexities we find in our lives; at which point all I can do is laugh. Writing about one's art can be one of the hardest things to write because art exists on many different levels, in many different lights, and through so many different eyes. But as I said before, art for me is the same as being human.
