  • Fred Murrell

    Graphic Design + Interactive Media Chair

    Fred has been a design consultant, design manager, creative director and educator for over 20 years, providing design/strategy solutions that have helped shape many leading companies with a new understanding for the value of design. He worked previously for Sapient, a global consultancy, as Vice President of Experience Design where he built design communities, design systems and experience design initiatives in Germany, Japan, Australia, India, and throughout the United States.

    He has held the position of Director of Design Worldwide at Texas Instruments, Corning Incorporated and Tenet Healthcare, where he designed and implemented integrated communications programs, interactive web experiences, information design environments and product design initiatives.

  • Bo Bickerstaff

    • BFA, Graphic Design + Interactive Media, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design

    Bo's professional design experience includes the West Colfax Revitalization Identity Project, brand development for L.P. Thebault, and Image Space Object 4 & 5 Identity – AIGA. His area of creative focus is brand development.

  • Kent Hollrah

    • BS, Mechanical Engineering, Northwestern University

    Kent is an educator and freelance designer specializing in interactive media through his agency, Simple & Stout. Prior to joining the RMCAD faculty, he served as Creative Director at Wall Street on Demand in Boulder. Specializing in rapid prototyping, product simulation, and information visualization, he designed and implemented white-labeled websites and online applications for Merrill Lynch, CNBC and Goldman Sachs.

    He has held the position of Mechanical Design Engineer for Walt Disney Imagineering's Ride Department, Visiting Researcher for British Telecom's Social Computing Group, and Design Intern at both IDEO San Francisco and Microsoft Research in Redmond.

    Mr. Mendelsberg is a designer and typographer and serves as a Lead Creative Consultant for BrandED Consultant's Group in Denver. He specializes in strategic brand and identity development. Mr. Mendelsberg’s research encompasses ancient Hebrew scribal arts, his typeface designs are marketed in Israel by Masterfont Ltd.

  • Shane Kendrick

    Mr. Kendrick has created design solutions within the print, web, broadcast and exhibit disciplines. Formerly, he was the Creative director at Group360, a small advertising, graphic design and public relations firm in Washington DC.

    Prior to this he was an art director at Diesel Design, a graphic design firm in San Francisco, where he specialized in identity system creation and implementation.

    Mr. Kendrick has also instructed at the Corcoran School of Art + Design, in Washington, DC.
