Hybrid Program

If coming to campus full-time might cause a problem for you, but you’d rather not complete your entire degree online, we’ve got the perfect solution. Our hybrid program combines online and on-campus courses to give you the best of both worlds.

When you choose the hybrid path, you’ll take a selection of Foundations and Liberal Arts classes online, constituting approximately half of your entire program of study. Your schedule will be arranged so that you take a maximum of two online courses and at least one on-campus course each term.

This allows you maximum flexibility and the ability to reap the benefits of both online and on-campus study. You’ll enjoy the convenience of working from home, yet still be able to meet face-to-face with your instructors and peers. In addition, the hybrid program is offered at a substantial savings over our traditional on-campus programs.

Who can enroll in the hybrid program?

Most students can enroll in the hybrid program, with these exceptions:

  • Interior Design majors are not eligible for the hybrid program.
  • Students in the Academic Success Plan (ASP) must obtain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 with at least 9 credits at RMCAD prior to eligibility for the hybrid program.

Students in the hybrid program must meet the same eligibility requirements as those in the on-campus program.

Which courses are offered online in the hybrid program?

A wide variety of Foundations and Liberal Arts courses may be taken online, from Digital Image Making and Drawing I to Earth Science and Art History. Courses specific to your major must be taken on campus. For complete policy information, contact your Admissions Counselor.

How much will I save?

The cost of tuition will depend on your program of study, but students can save 10-16% by choosing the hybrid path.
