RMCAD Trio Win Five Awards at ADCD’s Annual Show

Three students brought home top honors at this year’s ADCD (Art Directors’ Club of Denver) Student Show. The students—all Illustration majors—won 5 of only 16 awards bestowed in the competition, which drew more than 300 entries.

The RMCAD winning pieces (seen in the slideshow above) are:

Ryan Secora, Cyrano: Best in Category, Digital Illustration

Elisa Wikey, Fairy Tale Road Postcards: Best in Category, Direct Mail

AJ Sapala, Let Me Live #2 & #8: Best in Category, Photography

Ryan Secora, Professor J.P. Jenkin’s Junkies: Best in Category, Traditional Illustration

Ryan Secora, Giant and the Golden Egg: Judge’s Choice

Other RMCAD students who made it into the juried show include Andy Musser, Keith Pacheco, Kent Sanchez, and Sean Serafini. The jury was made up of some of the biggest names in Denver design (Stephanie Fay from ripcord, Randall Erkelens of Section 45, Mindy Nies of Nies Design, and Eric Nance who founded Indie Arsenal), so even being accepted into the show is an honor.

Congratulations to all of our winners.
