Salaries
Salaries in the interior design field vary based on experience, type of practice, whether one is self-employed or is employed by a firm, and other factors. Based on national statistics beginning designers earn about $30,000, according to recent surveys.
Our recent experience with graduates in Interior Design suggests that Denver pays somewhat less, with a starting salary range of $24,000 - $32,000.
This is another field in which knowledge of relevant computer technology and internship experience pays off. Experienced designers generally earn between $40,000 and $55,000. Partners in established firms may earn $75,000 to $100,000 per year.
Placement Rates
Of the 2004–2007 Graduates from RMCAD’s Interior Design program who are available for placement, 95% are working in their field. The overall placement rate for all RMCAD graduates is 81%.
