Cathie is the President of Symmetry, Inc. an interior design firm specializing in residential environments and life style design. Cathie holds membership in the professional organizations of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), the Interior Design Education Council (IDEC), as well as the honor society Kappa Omicron Nu.

Cathie began designing and teaching studio curriculum in 1990 and specializes in the history of interiors and furniture design, textiles and residential environments. She believes in student-centered learning through a focused development of knowledge and skills necessary for the practicing designer.

Cathie is connected to the community where she has served as a founding Board Chair of an experiential private school and at both the executive and board levels of a multi-disciplinary performing arts organization.
