ID Alum Climbs the Green Ladder
Burianek is Ambient Energy’s Sustainable Design Team Leader
Ambient Energy recently promoted RMCAD alum Jennifer Burianek, LEED AP (ID, ’04) from Sustainable Design Specialist to Project Manager. With the promotion, Jennifer now manages Ambient Energy’s four-person Sustainable Design Specialist team.
"Jennifer is an invaluable team member who strives for continuous improvement, from updating specification language, to enhancing our green materials consulting role and improving our daylighting processes," said Ambient Energy President Renee Azerbegi, LEED AP, CEM. "Her attention to detail and project management processes makes her a strong leader in our firm."
The woman-owned Ambient Energy focuses on energy and environmental building performance. The firm’s green specialties include energy audits, renewable energy analysis and zero energy planning, and their portfolio includes offices, libraries, museums, and higher education facilities.
During her two-year tenure with Ambient Energy, Jennifer has worked on some of Ambient Energy’s largest and most complex projects. Jennifer’s current work includes:
- Colorado Supreme Court (with Fentress Architects), pursuing LEED NC Gold
- Green Valley Ranch Library (with Humphries Poli Architects), pursuing LEED NC Silver
- Xcel Energy Denver Consolidation (with RNL Design), pursuing a double LEED CI/CS Platinum rating
