As part of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Denver International Airport CEO Kim Day, and Executive Director of Office of Economic Development Paul Washington's initiative to promote Denver as an international urban hub, RMCAD has been invited as part of the official Economic Development/Air Service Delegation to Dubai.
RMCAD was one of six institutions of higher education invited to participate in the five-day trip in October to Dubai and the United Arab Emirates with the Mayor's Economic Delegation. While abroad, RMCAD Director of Outreach Bill Sheehan will have the opportunity to meet with EducationUSA and share the degree opportunities RMCAD has for international students.
"This trip presents a unique opportunity to promote the city, pursue important business and tourism connections, and raise awareness of Denver and Colorado on an international stage," Mayor Hancock states in the invitation letter. "In organizing this delegation, our hope is that each delegate will use this opportunity to expand existing professional relationships and create new ones. These personal connections are fundamental in maintaining our competitiveness and continuous efforts to build Denver into a globally fluent city."
Through RMCAD's robust online learning program, students can earn degrees in a number of creative fields from anywhere in the world. This outreach initiative will help the RMCAD community through expanding its industry-leading curriculum across borders and cultures.
