This course focuses on graphic design principles, elements and methodology. Topics include: anatomy of visual form, simplification, typography, sequence, composition, and basic graphic communication theory. Projects are designed to build sound conceptual thinking and practical expertise by making use of brainstorming, sketching, visual diagramming, and computer generated imagery. Emphasis is directed toward the understanding of signs, symbols, pictograms, logos, and logotypes. To better succeed, you should have experience with Quark XPress or Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
