In this art camp, students will learn from professionals in the business the key elements of illustrating comic books. Students will learn the fundamentals of sequential illustration including storytelling through expressive figure drawing, anatomy, proportion and character design. Following a script, students will compose preliminary pencil layouts and actual size finished penciled pages. Through experimentation with different materials such as brushes, technical and crowquill pens, the student will practice basic inking techniques and learn how to hand color comics for the printing process.
