RMCAD Receives CIDA Reaccreditation

RMCAD is pleased to announce its reaccreditation by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The on-campus Interior Design BFA program has been CIDA accredited since 2001. The 2014 CIDA reaccredidation will extend this prestigous designation for another six years.

CIDA was established in 1970 by prominent interior design professional organizations to develop high standards for interior design education. The accreditation is a voluntary process that promotes and recognizes the quality of higher education.

To gain CIDA accreditation, colleges and universities must go through a thorough three-step evaluation to review their interior design program. This includes, self-evaluations, site visits, and accreditation decisions. CIDA accreditation lasts for six years before the program must be re-evaluated.
