In an effort to capture the many achievements students, faculty, and staff are accomplishing each term, RMCAD has launched the inaugural edition of the Retrospective. The publication includes articles and spotlights on members of the RMCAD community, as well as student artwork features. With the Fall 2014 term setting an attendance record for the school, the RMCAD Retrospective arrives at a time of growth and excitement.
The RMCAD Retrospective includes:
• A gallery of student work
• A faculty, staff and student spotlight
• Articles about RMCAD’s record-setting enrollment and our new Learning Management System
• Highlights from the Philip J. Steele Gallery and the VASD Program
• A list of our most recent graduates
While a traditional print publication, the RMCAD Retrospective also includes a dash of digital. Augmented Reality, a free smartphone app, interactively displays an added dimension to the pre-existing images on paper—allowing the pages’ content to come alive with video and sound. By hovering an equipped smartphone or tablet over the pages’ imagery, the reader is provided with linked content that gives background and context to the stories that couldn’t otherwise be conveyed in print.
Copies of the publication have been distributed around campus and will soon be delivered to online students, prospective students, and alumni. If you’d like to contribute ideas or assets, please feel free to get in touch with Founder + Project Manager Kristine Kilbourne at email@example.com.
