RMCAD is the only private college in Colorado to be accredited by both NASAD and HLC, offering campus, hybrid and online programs in art and design.

Our online BFA and MA programs are designed for working professionals and other students seeking to advance their education and career potential, without attending campus classes. We’ve taken our 48 years of experience in the art and design world and created an innovative, interactive and dynamic online environment to inspire tomorrow’s creative professionals.

The same faculty who teach on-campus courses also develop and teach RMCAD’s online courses. Our faculty are certified in online teaching and course design, and are supported by a professional team of instructional designers and media developers. The synergies among the entire RMCAD team have inspired us to bring the campus experience to you.

Because collaboration and networking are keys to professional success, one of our primary goals is to keep you connected. Our online environment integrates one-click communication with faculty, fellow students and guest lecturers. Our online environment actively engages you through a variety of communication tools. Video and media content provide demonstrations and studio instruction by our faculty. Our unique Critique Zone creates a collaborative environment for critique and feedback. The live classroom enables you to connect in real time with your professors and peers. All tools are integrated into our customized, web-based learning management system.

RMCAD’s online help desk is available to assist students with logging into classes, posting discussion comments, submitting homework, and any other technical issues you may encounter. In addition, you will have access to the online library and tutoring resources, and be able to interact with classmates and teachers through various advanced applications. * RMCAD is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association (HLC) with approval to offer online BFA degrees. The Online BFA programs in 3D Animation and Interior Design are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and the online BFA degrees in Communications Design and Illustration are pending approval by NASAD. The on-ground professional Interior Design BFA program is fully accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). It is RMCAD’s intention to seek CIDA approval for the online degree in Interior Design in the future.
