A RMCAD Education: [teaser-text]

Three Ways to Learn

People and lifestyles are different. What suits some students may not work as well for others. That’s why RMCAD offers three ways to earn your BFA:

On-Campus
Choose the traditional route and take all of your classes in person on our beautiful campus.

Online
Earn the same accredited BFA degree from anywhere in the world, without sacrificing the RMCAD experience.

Hybrid
Enjoy the best of both worlds by taking most of your Foundations and Liberal Arts classes online, and everything else on campus.

Educational Philosophy

Many people believe artistic talent is something you’re either born with or you’re not. But without the proper education, training and practice, you’ll be limited in where your talent can take you. That’s why choosing the right art school is so important.

Some art schools take a trade-based approach to teaching – they focus on software and execution but pay little attention to inspiration or composition. Other schools take on a more experimental role, encouraging students to explore widely without providing the structure so many of them really need.

At RMCAD, we feel learning fundamental skills is the best way for you to get the most from your education. You’ll have plenty of time to learn the technical aspects of your major and experiment personally with your art and design, but by establishing a strong base with core courses, you’ll have the flexibility, versatility and comprehension to use your degree to the fullest. So whether you become a fine artist upon graduation or choose to take your creativity into the more traditional business world, a RMCAD education will provide you with all the tools you need to succeed.

Year-Round Learning

RMCAD operates on a trimester schedule, with a full complement of classes available during the fall, spring and summer. Many of our students say that taking summer courses was one of the best things they did at RMCAD. Generally smaller in size, these classes allow even more interaction with faculty and fellow students. Plus, if you take a full credit load in all three terms, you can complete your BFA in just three years.
