Friday, March 5, 2021
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. MST
This event will be hosted virtually via Zoom.

The first ever RMCAD student research symposium is an all-day event where select students and alumni will give 15-20 minute presentations on their research and creative work to the RMCAD community and the general public. Presenters will have the opportunity to win monetary awards for their participation and will gain valuable experience to enhance any resume or graduate school application. Topics will be related to inclusion, diversity and equity through the lens of reclamation.

Reclamation is the process of asserting a claim or the taking back of something stolen, removed, or lost. In art, design, and visual culture, reclamation is important in asserting narratives back into the art historical canon of art history and practice, introducing new voices, or challenging why voices have been overlooked or muted.
