Each year, students, faculty, and staff come together to celebrate the talent and hard work of our students at the Annual Student Exhibition. The event is a RMCAD tradition occurring since the college was founded in 1963.
The exhibition is a juried competition; student work is judged in categories against other work of the same discipline. Departments and their faculty select a panel of jurors to choose recipients for the Best of Department Awards. There will also be a top prize awarded for the RMCAD Award for Creativity, and each award comes with a monetary prize. Once the work has been selected, the gallery staff curates the exhibition space in the prestigious Philip J. Steele Gallery on campus.
The exhibit’s Opening Reception will be on Friday, October 4 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with the Awards Ceremony held that night from 5:30 p.m. in Mary Harris Auditorium. The exhibit will be on display from October 4 – November 15, 2024 during open gallery hours, Monday – Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
