Epic 109
ãññã duo (Anqi Liu and Han Zhang) will lead a workshop on the design and creative application of their custom audiovisual interactive-performance system, hosted by RMCAD’s MP department in partnership with the VASD Program. Adaptable for installation and staged performance or both-co-existed contexts, the duo’s video processing ecology and arduino-based interactive system work in conjunction with real-time audio synthesis and signal processing instruments to produce an integrated and immersive audiovisual experience. In this workshop, Liu and Zhang will detail the aesthetic motivations, technical research, and design process(es) that led to the development of their customized audiovisual hardware and software system. The duo’s work and research brings together a range of creative practices, spanning video, photography, music, installation, and creative computing. Students and Faculty from across RMCAD’s Art + Design programs, particularly those working at the intersection of disciplines and the digital arts, are highly encouraged to join and participate. The workshop will take place in the Rocky Mountain Sound Lab (RMSL) on RMCAD’s campus on Tuesday Mar 25, 2025 at 11:45AM Mountain Time.
There will be limited seats for in-person attendees, prioritizing local Music Production students; all are welcome to attend over Zoom. The Zoom session will be supported by our three-camera WireCast streaming system and high-quality audio feed in the RMSL.
