“My sketchbook is a witness of what I’m experiencing, scribbling things whenever they happen.” – Vincent Van Gogh

In this three part workshop series, Fashion Design Associate Professor Mung Lar Lam will discuss what a fashion sketchbook is used for, the types of books, paper and media to use to increase creativity, and most importantly, some ideas for filling your sketchbook for fashion design development.

The focus of part 2 will be how to document the world around you, collect the things that inspire you, and make connections between seemingly disparate things to make them your own and to begin the seeds of a fashion theme.

The concepts in this workshop can also be applied to other disciplines, all departments welcome!
