Accomplished and innovative artist Clark Richert taught at RMCAD from 1998-2018. During that time he mentored and fostered the artistic development of many young artists that have gone on to build their own successful careers. Richert’s influential and impressive paintings are currently featured in a career retrospective exhibition titled Clark Richert in Hyperspace at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver with a concurrent exhibition featuring RMCAD alumni titled The Nth Dimension.

In celebration of the alumni featured in The Nth Dimension and honoring Richert’s legacy, RMCAD is thrilled to partner with MCA Denver to host a panel discussion on The Richert Effect.

Participating artists include Joseph Coniff, Zach Reini, Karen McClanahan, Jason Hoelscher, Matthew Larson, and Kate Nickel. MCA Denver curator Zoe Larkins will moderate the panel.

Be sure to visit the exhibitions Clark Richert in Hyperspace and The Nth Dimension at MCA Denver before the event. Get museum hours and admission details at mcadenver.org

Richert’s work can also be seen in a corresponding retrospective exhibition at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in an exhibition titled Clark Richert: Pattern and Dimensions (curated by Cortney Stell) and in the group exhibition Color Theory at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs’ Galleries of Contemporary Art (GoCA).
