Join us for one of four projects across Lakewood on Saturday, September 21, and lunch on campus! Each year RMCAD students, staff, and faculty gather together to help with volunteer projects focused on supporting the local community in Lakewood and Denver. This year, we will be partnering with and supporting Serve Spot Lakewood and Love Lakewood Day. You can meet the RMCAD team on campus at 8:30 a.m. for a ride to your project, or meet on site at your selected project at 9:00 a.m.

Beautify the Library at Rose Elementary
Are you passionate about reading and creating vibrant spaces? Join us for Love Lakewood Day to work alongside the librarian at Rose Stein Elementary School to give the library a fresh, inviting makeover! This is a fantastic chance to contribute to a space that inspires and supports our students’ love of books and learning.
Volunteers will help transform the library with a fresh coat of paint and engaging wall designs that create a welcoming atmosphere for students. You will also in organize and color-code the book collection to make it easier for students to find and enjoy their favorite reads.
Paint at Slater Elementary
We need your help to breathe new life into the spaces of Slater Elementary! Join us for a fulfilling Love Lakewood Day where you’ll assist in enhancing and beautifying our school’s interior. Your creative touch will help create a more vibrant, welcoming, and stimulating environment for our students and staff. Volunteers will help decorate and refresh classrooms and hallways with inspiring artwork and educational displays, and with a fresh coat of paint. No professional experience required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute!
14th Ave Cleanup
Volunteers will be cleaning up along 14 Avenue between Sheridan and Pierce streets. This is your chance to roll up your sleeves, get active, and help beautify one of our beloved streets. Volunteers will be assigned to a segment of 14 Ave to cleanup. At the last Love Lakewood Day, volunteers filled a whole dumpster with trash! Help us do it again! The 14 Avenue Cleanup is a community effort to reclaim our streets and inspire pride in our neighborhood. Plus, it’s a great way to meet new people and enjoy some time outdoors!
Paint at South Lakewood Elementary
Do you have a passion for creativity and community service? Join us for Love Lakewood Day at South Lakewood Elementary! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help paint vibrant, engaging designs in our school bathrooms. Your artistic touch will help transform these spaces into fun, colorful environments that inspire and uplift our students. All artistic abilities welcome!

If you have an eye for photography, or are in the photography program, we are looking for volunteers to document these projects and others on the day.
