Wednesday, March 2, 2022 | 12 – 2 p.m. MST

Join us on Wednesday, March 2nd, to participate in a Community Stitch Project. This project invites you to add a stitch to a panel representing those that have experienced hardship or loss due to the pandemic. Meet artist Heather Schulte, who will be hosting and guiding the project and learn how to cross stitch as we gather to express our experiences during the pandemic. Heather will share about the project, Stitching the Situation, and together you will add stitches to this ongoing work while discussing these unique times.

In a time when close contact with other people is unwise, often prohibited, or even dangerous, this project offers an opportunity to be together safely, collaborate, and creatively respond to these unique times. The tradition of people gathering together to create, and specifically through textiles, has a long and rich history. While women are prominent in this lineage, this project is open to all.

Heather will be on campus for two hours. Drop in anytime between 12:00pm-2:00pm to participate and add your stitch!
