About the Speaker

Sarabeth Berk is a self-described hybrid professional (visit #MoreThanMyTitle). In other words, she combines her core professional identities of artist, designer, educator, and researcher together on a regular basis.

Sarabeth currently serves as the director of a campus-wide initiative at the University of Colorado, Boulder that aims to engage and expose all stakeholders to entrepreneurial and innovative experiences and mindsets. In this role, Sarabeth is the ultimate connector of dots trying to activate this work across CU’s campus.

Sarabeth has degrees in art, design, and education. Prior to her current role, she served as the Innovation Program Manager in the Imaginarium (innovation lab) for Denver Public Schools. She has also worked with University of Denver, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Francis Parker School, Colorado Mountain College, and The Island School.

About the Wayfinding Series

The Wayfinding Series connects students to local creative professionals. With equal parts inspiration and honesty, speakers will share their path towards a successful creative life and all of the twists and turns involved in that journey. Addressing career-focused issues such as industry trends, relevant skills, making connections, and professional fulfillment, speakers will highlight that there is no one way to find and live a successful, creative career. Speakers will represent a variety of creative employment opportunities, connecting to multiple academic departments and revealing that professional creatives are found in diverse and sometimes surprising fields.
