Whether you’ve lived in Colorado your entire life, or are a new resident of our incredible state, the Explore Colorado series will open your eyes and mind to fun, new activities just a short distance from campus.

Meow Wolf Trip

Stanley Hotel Night Tour

Visit the famous Stanley Hotel, the inspiration for Steven King’s novel The Shining. The Stanley Night Tour is the perfect way to experience the hotel’s architecture, folklore, and pop culture. Explore Estes Park by immersing yourself in the rich history of this unique mountain town…after dark!

Colorado Avalanche

An all-time favorite of Colorado fans. Watch the Colorado Avalanche battle it out against one of their rival teams during the start of the National Hockey League. This is an entertaining game for anyone, not just sports fanatics. Enjoy food, drinks, and the Ball Arena, which is home to the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Mammoth, and tons of concerts by big name acts.

Denver Zoo Lights

With two million LED lights sparkling over 80 acres and delights around every corner, Zoo Lights is Denver’s wildest holiday gathering. Outdoor animal viewing during Zoo Lights is limited to cold-weather species such as Amur tiger, Bactrian camel, Przewaskli’s horse and most of our pachyderms. This is a magical experience that is bound to get you in the Holiday spirit. Enjoy sweet treats, entertainment, and unexpected animal encounters along the way!

Ski + Board at Loveland

7am-6pm | Loveland Ski Area

This is one of RMCAD’s favorite traditions. Join us for a day on the slopes at one of Colorado’s most loved mountains, Loveland Ski Area. This is a low-key resort, with deep snow, and a friendly atmosphere, so you will feel right at home. Program includes lift tickets and lunch. Students must bring their own gear. Rentals are available at the mountain.

The Explore Colorado package includes admission to six different events, transportation, and a meal or snack at each event. The total cost of the package is $150, which must be paid in full by Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

If you cannot commit to all six events, you can register and pay for these events individually. Make your selections below and pay $35 per event instead.
