Cheryl holds an MFA in Interior Architecture & Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
A native of North Dakota, she received her undergraduate degree in business management at the University of Mary and began her career in the building industry. She started a retail home furnishing business in 1988, which incorporated interior design. Actively involved with the University of North Dakota’s entrepreneurship program, she employed and mentored interns supporting their path toward successful careers.
With over 25 years of experience in the field of interior architecture and design, Cheryl’s broad portfolio includes successful projects in new construction, remodels, residential developments, private homes, commercial spaces, hospitality, and medical facilities.
She was actively involved in the North Dakota Museum of Art and served on the Board of Directors until relocating to Sarasota in 2006. In the past 11 years, her service to the community includes Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors. Siesta Key Village Association, Board of Directors. Sarasota County’s Bike Trail Pedestrian Advisory Council and Center for Architecture Sarasota’s Modern Show.
