How college students in the Denver metro can save money right now

It’s no surprise that as a student, you are likely working off of a tight budget. Not only are you paying for tuition and fees, but you are also balancing housing and life expenses too. That said, it can be important to try and save money where you can, and luckily there are quite a few student discounts to take advantage of. Check out these must-use deals!

Subscription savings
In our digital and fast moving world, subscriptions are a way of life. If you’re a student who likes to pair music with studying, we recommend checking out the Spotify Premium Student discount. For $4.99/month, you get access to Spotify music, and Hulu – which is perfect for those binge-worthy study breaks. Amazon Prime also offers a great deal for students with a Prime Student subscription. In addition to prime delivery, this service has several added amenities and deals, including free food delivery with GrubHub.

Adventure amenities
For local students or lovers of winter sports, be sure to check out discounts at Colorado ski resorts. For the 2022-2023 season, students can save anywhere from $200-$300 with an Ikon Pass (or Base Pass) and can also save with an Epic Local College Pass. Fitness centers or gyms are also known for offering savings for students, including Movement, CorePower Yoga and Anytime Fitness (just to name a few). Some of these deals may only be offered at select gym locations, so be sure to call and confirm before booking.

Local entertainment
Whether you live in Colorado or anywhere across the country, local museums or cultural experiences are known for their generous student discounts. When you are planning your next field trip, be sure to do some research in advance to get the best price. In Denver, if you show your student ID at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, you get 10% off admission to the museum, IMAX and Planetarium. For our classical music lovers, The Colorado Symphony is a must-visit destination that offers $10 student tickets for all concerts. We also recommend checking out the deals available at the Denver Art Museum.

RMCAD resources
As a student at RMCAD, you have access to additional free resources. For starters, all students are provided with an all-access pass to use on Denver’s public transportation system, the RTD. Students also have access to several digital resources, including a complimentary subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud and access to LinkedIn Learning for free professional development courses. Last but not least, RMCAD offers great deals on Apple products.

From entertainment, to fitness, to student resources, we only scratched the surface of all the deals and discounts available to students! Be sure to do research in your local area to see where you can save further, and don’t hesitate to ask whether a student discount is available at select stores. Cheers to the start of some sensational student savings!
