Merit + Memorial Scholarship Application

Applications are now being accepted for Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design Memorial and Merit Scholarship Awards! These scholarships are awarded to enrolled RMCAD students on a year-round basis. This is a private scholarship program initiated by Philip J. Steele, founder of RMCAD. The scholarship awards are given to both full-time and part-time students who have proven themselves through quality work and effort. The awards are based on portfolio, essay, cumulative grade point average, citizenship, community involvement, and exemplary performance.

The Memorial Scholarships are:
The William LeBarth Steele Memorial Scholarship Award for Freshmen
The David W. Bozeman Memorial Scholarship Award for the Graphic Design + Interactive Media Department
The Paul W. Hall Memorial Scholarship Award for the Animation Department
The Charlene Cosgrove Memorial Scholarship Award for the Illustration Department
The C.W. McNamara Memorial Scholarship Award for the Art Education Department
The Roy Maddox Memorial Scholarship Award for the Interior Design Department
The Chuck Mattox Memorial Scholarship Award for the Fine Arts Department
The Gerald E. Ehrhart Memorial Scholarship Award
The Brooke McElwain Memorial Scholarship Award for the Game Art Department

If you are awarded one of the Memorial Scholarships listed above, you will receive $1,700 towards your Summer 2016 tuition if you attend full-time, or $825 if you attend part-time (at least 6 credits) during each respective semester. Additionally, five $700 Merit Scholarships will be awarded to the next five high scoring applicants.

The award covers regular full or part-time tuition only. If you withdraw from school at any time, either before or during the term, you automatically forfeit the scholarship award and will not receive any refund for the unused portion of the award. Unused scholarship award funds may not be transferred to any other semester or term.
