Due to increasing concerns over the impact of coronavirus on public events, we have decided to close campus and cancel all RMCAD events through April 26 2020. We want to do what is best for the health of our students and our community. Updates will be posted, so please stay tuned. Please check back for information about rescheduling.

Mo’Print and Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design would like to invite you to participate in the Steamroller Print Event. Saturday April 18th, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The event will take place on the RMCAD campus located at 1600 Pierce Street, Lakewood, CO 80214.

This is a great opportunity for students, artists and the community to come together in a cooperative event to celebrate the art of printmaking as artists get their over-sized woodblocks inked and printed under the drum of a 2-ton steamroller.

Here’s how to participate (or just come and enjoy the spectacle):
You can carve a block on your own or work with a friend. MDF or wood boards must be ¾” thick with a minimum size of 3’ x 3’ up to 3’ x 8’. Your block may be cut to a shape or stay with the tried-and-true rectangle (shapes actually print better). Please seal boards with either shellac or polyurethane at least 24 hours in advance.

To get your block printed, register and pay online at www.moprint.org by April 4, 2020.
The fee is $25. This includes inking, paper and ONE print of your block. If you are collaborating with another artist and you both want a print, you will register your one block and pay $40 for two prints of your collaborative block.

Register and pay online at www.moprint.org/steamroller-registration by April 4, 2020.
