RMCAD Community Members Featured In Denver Art Museum

Jaime Carrejo (Head of Foundations) and Dmitri Obergell (2010 Alumnus) will have their work featured, alongside other Latino artists, in the Denver Art Museum. The exhibition, Mi Tierra: Contemporary Artists Explore Place, consists of artwork representative of life in the contemporary American west. Of the 13 artists included in the exhibition, Carrejo and Obergfell are the only two from Denver.

Carrejo’s exhibition, ‘One-Way Mirror,’ has been featured in a New York Times Article!

Denver Art Museum writes:
These artists examine diverse narratives of migration and the complex layering of cultures throughout the Western United States through ideas related to labor, nostalgia, memory, visibility, and displacement. Installations will incorporate mixed-media, performance-based video art, digital animation, fiber constructions, painting, sculpture, and ceramics.
