RMCAD’S Fred Murrell Participates In AIGA's 100 Years 100 Designers

Graphic Design professor, Fred Murrell will participate in AIGA’s 100 Years 100 Designers project to celebrate AIGA’s 100 Years of Design. For this endeavor, artists were given a year from 1914-2014 to create art that embodies that period. Fred Murrell was chosen to represent the year 1995. All the pieces will ultimately be shown together to represent 100 years of AIGA design.

Murrell serves on RMCAD’s board of directors and is a design ambassador and professor in the graphic design department. He previously worked for Sapient, Texas Instruments, Carnegie Mellon University, and Rochester Institute of Technology, to name a few. Murrell has operated in Executive Board positions for AIGA and has been recognized for his design and teaching in graphics, communication arts, print and AIGA Competitions.

The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) was founded in 1914; it’s the oldest and largest professional association for design. AIGA works to enhance the value and deepen the impact of design on business, society and the future. Within its 100-year tenure, AIGA’s focus and reach has expanded substantially to over 25,000 members nationwide. AIGA is proud to celebrate its 100 Years of Design.
