RMCAD faculty roles require at least a master’s degree in a relevant discipline and professional experience. We ask for your unofficial transcripts as part of the application process.
RMCAD operates on an accelerated academic calendar, with each term lasting 8 weeks. This means courses are condensed, allowing students to complete more credits throughout the year. Full-time faculty teach two courses per term and adjunct faculty typically teach one course per term but are not guaranteed a class every term.
Yes, all new faculty receive orientation and ongoing support with our Faculty Mentor including help with pacing, assessments, and engagement strategies.
RMCAD’s Learning Management System was built specifically to support our accelerated 8-week terms. All new faculty receive training on the RMCAD LMS prior to the start of their first term. This includes how to navigate the platform, manage course content, communicate with students, and track progress. Ongoing support is also available throughout the term to ensure a smooth teaching experience.
RMCAD offers a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time employees. This typically includes a hybrid work environment and paid time off for vacation, sick days. Employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). We provide basic life and AD&D coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan (with employer match after 12 months of employment). RMCAD has a rigorous curriculum development process that ensures consistency and quality across our courses. Instructors are required to teach our approved curriculum but are also expected to use their own industry experience to bring the content to life through teaching and mentorship.
