why accreditation matters

Accredited schools are held to a high degree of accountability. Independent agencies regularly scrutinize our programs to verify that we employ the most relevant and comprehensive approaches to education.

Accreditation ensures that our programs help students to develop and practice their art, while also equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed in the real world.

Although the transferability of credit from RMCAD to other institutions is at the discretion of the accepting institution, accreditation is often an important factor in the evaluation process. Prospective students interested in transferring credits earned at other accredited institutions to RMCAD should contact the Admissions Department (admissions@rmcad.edu) for information on RMCAD’s transfer credit policy.
