RMCAD has no shortage of successful alumni and we are always pleased to celebrate their accomplishments. Last week, alumnus Xi Zhang was featured on the Rocky Mountain PBS program "Arts District" for his exhibition 21st Century DNA at Biennial of the Americas.
Zhang's 21st Century DNA juxtaposes ancient China with modern technological world. The pieces explore humor, politics and media's impact on culture, among other topics. The exhibition is on view at McNichols Civic Center Building through July 29.
The "Arts District" episode featuring Zhang originally aired on July 18. You can watch the complete episode on the Rocky Mountain PBS website.
Born in China, Xi Zhang is now a Denver-based artist. He earned a BFA in Painting and Drawing from RMCAD in 2008 and MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
