RMCAD Faculty

Andrea Slusarski, M.A.

Andrea “Slu” (she/her) is a creativity advocate from Denver, Colorado. She holds an MA from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. Fascinated by how learning is impacted by Creativity and Flow Psychology, her making and teaching processes are fueled by curious study & personal research. Whether in drawing, teaching, or riding, Andrea connects her various types of lines through plein air sketchbook drawings, snowboarding, studio collaborations, and sharing creativity with her students. Slusarski is proud to be a Pacific Representative and to be a part of the National Art Educators Association Professional Learning through Research Committee. Her favorite part of teaching at RMCAD is getting to share her own practice of visual journaling with all of her future art educators. When not in the classroom or studio, she can be found riding her snowboard and mountain bike in the Colorado backcountry.
