RMCAD Faculty

Katherine Ingui, M.A.

Katherine is originally from Carrollton, GA and currently lives in Denver, CO. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and a Masters of Education with an emphasis in ceramics from the University of Georgia. She is a practicing ceramic artist and specializes in large ceramic wall hangings. She has created and assembled large projects for clients and businesses all around the country, most notably Kevin Barry Art Advisory and the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Katherine’s personal teaching pedagogy is rooted in Culturally Responsive teaching and learning; she believes in a student-centered approach to teaching in which the students’ unique cultural strengths are identified and nurtured to promote student achievement and a sense of well-being about the student’s cultural place in the world. In order to achieve this, Katherine believes that all students should engage in hands-on authentic learning experiences that provide opportunities for expression, creativity, and reflection.

Her favorite part about working and teaching at RMCAD is providing support for future art teachers so that they can be their most successful selves! Katherine is a proud member of the strong and empathetic art education department. When not teaching, she enjoys time with her family, including her husband, Graham; son, George; and their cat, Friday. She also enjoys cooking, gardening, biking, hiking and skiing.
