Becky holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Houston-Downtown, a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Houston, and a PhD in Art History and Education from the University of Arizona. She is also a graduate of the National Art Education Association’s School for Art Leaders. Becky’s research centers on undergraduate art history pedagogy, socially engaged art history, and visual culture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Since 2019 Becky has served as a research and public talks volunteer with Historic Denver’s The Molly Brown House. Becky’s recent research and public speaking have focused on the historic campus RMCAD occupies, which is an historic landmark still celebrated for its place as a tuberculosis sanatorium in the early 20th century.
