Colorado high school seniors graduating in 2016 may compete in Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design’s Best of Colorado High School Artist + Designers Scholarship Competition. A discounted tuition scholarship (50%) will be awarded to those selected as the “Best of Colorado” in the following areas:
Communications Design (Graphic Design)
Fine Arts (Ceramics, Painting, Printmaking, or Sculpture)
Art Education (essay only)
Business for the Creative Industries (essay only)
Seniors’ applications will be accepted November 1, 2015 – January 31, 2016. Students must submit a portfolio of 5 images that best reflect their work and write a 500 word essay on the topic of “the impact of art and design on the 21st century.” Students can apply by visiting rmcad.slideroom.com and clicking “Best of Colorado High School Artist + Designers Scholarship Competition.” Additional information on scholarship application submissions can also be found on the slideroom website.
The contest will be juried by faculty at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in February 2016. Winners will be notified mid-February. Winners must apply to RMCAD and satisfy all acceptance criteria in order to validate the scholarship. Students must maintain satisfactory academic process and continued enrollment to keep scholarship.
