Brizida Magro, MFA

Brizida is a Boulder, Colorado based illustrator, but is originally from Portugal. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Brigham Young University and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Utah State University. As a children’s book illustrator, she loves bringing stories to life. She enjoys simplicity, paper collage, wee characters, vibrant colors, and all things patterns. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in understanding individual approaches, facilitating experimentation, guiding intuition and reflective critique, and having some fun in the process.

She loves helping students build their final portfolio and seeing them focus on one specific market. Brizida finds joy seeing students she had early on in their school journey and how much they have grown while at RMCAD. When she isn’t teaching, you can find Brizida rock climbing, wandering the world, and bringing stories to life.
