Jade holds an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. She has taught Fashion Design and Stage Costuming at Santa Monica College, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles (F.I.D.M.), The Art Institute of Colorado from 2010-2018, and most recently Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD) since 2014. She has designed costumes for several regional theatres and acting troupes and numerous films, mostly independent, and a few well-known. Jade participates off and on in Comic-Con (now Denver Pop Culture Con) as a panelist for Cosplay and Costume Design. She works part-time as a prototype garment maker locally, and she brings her 20+ years in patternmaking, fitting, and sewing construction to her students both on-ground and online.
