1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
This is part 2 of 4 of a virtual workshop series and will be hosted via Zoom.
Adjunct Professor and RMCAD Alumni Alex Weeks will present a Painter-Friendly Photoshop Workshop. She will be speaking to the challenges for those accustomed to the traditional pencil and paper, including handling your canvas, color mixing and proofing values, and layer organization for optimal project planning. She will explore menus and tools you have access to that allows you to correct your paintings in real-time. For example, changing local areas of color separately from shading and lighting and having multiple unique results. By the end of this workshop, Photoshop should be equally friendly to the veteran painter and the freshman artist whether you prefer to work opaquely or by means of compositing.
Alex Weeks is an adjunct professor and alumni at RMCAD, teaching Digital Painting for Film + Games. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in the novel Game Art program at the institute.
