Ian Southwell has worked as a video game artist for companies such as Activision, Disney, Sony, Shaba Games, Page 44, Vicarious Visions, and JUDOBABY. His interests in art and design have also led him to lend his talents in the jewelry industry as a lead sculptor and head of the 3D printing department. Ian has a passion for education and in addition to teaching at the baccalaureate level, he has also worked as lead instructor for IDTech Camps for students ages eight to eighteen.
In addition to teaching in the Animation and Game Art Departments, Ian serves as the fabrication lab (FabLab) coordinator. In this role, he serves as the educating technician providing training, tutoring, and workshops on the various technologies and techniques available in the FabLab. Technologies in the FabLab include the laser and vinyl cutters, vacuform, CNC, and FFF and SLA 3D Printers.
